Front Door Concerts offers oodles of fun for “children who love music and silliness.” Six kid-friendly entertainers will be serving up musical entertainment in neighborhoods all over Austin, starting with a free launch party at Central Market North this Saturday that you won’t want to miss!

Musicians Mr. Will Dupuy, Staci Gray, Terrence Taps, Madame Haleigh’s French-to-Music, Joe McDermott, and Ms. Kat’s Music & Movement joined forces to create Front Door Concerts with the aim of offering monthly free children’s edu-tainment events in neighborhood clubhouses and rec centers. They work with HOAs, realtors, and business sponsors to keep the concerts free.

Catch the zany pilot episode of Music City ATX, and make plans to attend the free Front Door Concerts Launch Party this Saturday, September 10, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Central Market North. Enjoy 20-minute sets, as well as meet and greets with the artists. Visit the Facebook event page to RSVP!

About Front Door Concerts

Getting around Austin has become burdensome, and the tight schedules families need to work around — naps, nursing, lunches, and naps again — make it double-tough to get out and do *anything* once you factor in traffic and parking. (I won’t even get started about showering, dressing, diapering, and getting out the door.)  Front Door Concerts wants to create “villages” of supportive close-to-home families by motivating moms, dads, and kids to get out and socialize, and start some beautiful lifelong friendships.

Front Door Concerts will be funded by each community’s HOA or Neighborhood Association, with the costs offset by sponsorships from local businesses interested in creating buzz about their family-friendly subdivisions (like realtors and home-builders), businesses who cater to young families, or superhero philanthropists who love to host awesome parties full of toddlers, preschoolers, homeschoolers, and their wranglers.
