Fall In Love With Beautiful: The Carole King Musical At Zach Theater

Get ready to fall in love with Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Leslie McDonel shines as King. She is instantly likeable, and her voice is out of this world! After selling her first song as a teenager, King writes hit after hit with husband Gerry Goffin. They become friends with fellow song writers played by Sara Burke and Logan Foster. A playful competitiveness between the foursome drives success for all. Lucky for the audience, that means incredible music for every song.

UPDATE! Due to popular demand, Beautiful will now run through September 22, 2024 at The Topfer at ZACH.

King uses her life experience to inspire her writing. You see her transform from a young girl into a mature woman. Without giving away any spoilers, the song McDonel sings to embody that will give you chills! Her energy, talent, and passion never change though. King is meant to not only create magic through her writing, but to perform it as well.

Every aspect of this show is amazing. From the cast, to the design, to the band, you are instantly transported into King’s life. Even if you think you don’t know all the music, you probably do. You’ll be singing along quietly at first and on your feet belting with the crowd by the end.
