Harvest of Fall Fun runs September 22 through November 4, 2018. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Closed all Wednesdays. Parking is FREE. The pumpkins and gourds are individually priced. Admission is FREE, but each activity has a fee. Activities include a hayride, corn maze, scarecrow stuffing, a train, and flower picking, and pumpkin painting just to name a few (seriously, there are a TON of activities for an additional fee). Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo is a fun-filled evening for ghosts and goblins of any age. Come dressed in your Halloween finest (no adult masks, please) and enjoy our Zoo-wide event including the Zoo bedecked in Halloween spookiness, our nocturnal animals, an eerie train ride and unlimited passes through our mansion. Tickets to certain special items within Boo at the Zoo have limited seating. Extra events include a haunted train ride and musical performances for and additional fee. Ghost Tours on the Square

Ghost Tours on the Square are hosted by the Williamson Museum. Tour times for both days are 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. Later tours will be scarier than those held earlier in the evening. Crowe’s Nest Farms Fall Family Fun Days (Manor)

Nightmare on Jail Hill Haunted House (Georgetown)

Nightmare on Jail Hill Haunted House takes place at the Historic Williamson County Jail. This rumored haunted jailhouse, which held prisoners from 1889 through 1990, has been featured on the popular show “Ghost Hunters.” Fast Pass tickets are $25, adult tickets are $15 and child tickets are $5 (ages 8-12). The Pumpkin Hunt is a family-friendly event where children of all ages can enjoy fall activities. The premier event, the Pumpkin Hunt, includes a wagon ride into the Christmas tree fields where mini pumpkins are hidden in the trees. After the Hunt, enjoy pumpkin decorating on the pavilion along with great concessions at the concessions stand and other activities and games. The Evergreen Farms authentic pumper fire truck will again be at the Pumpkin Hunt. The truck will stop on the ride and demonstrate how the hoses and pumps work as well as sounding the sirens along the way. Each child will receive a fire hat after the ride.
Haunted Halloween Trails at Pioneer Farms

Creepy scarecrows, ghost stories and all things scary will be featured at our annual Haunted Halloween Trails festival. This year’s theme: Victorian Gothic Trails of Terror. The Spook-tober extravaganza will be open on Friday and Saturday nights on Oct. 18-19, 25-27, 31 from 7-11 p.m. nightly. Admissions close at 10 p.m. Open rain or shine! No refunds. No pets, please. This year’s event will feature a new Ghost Run haunted trail with spook lights and more, and lots of family fun activities on Scream Street in our entrance village, including a pumpkin-carving contest. Live music will be offered nightly in our historic dance hall. Storytellers will be on site all nights to give visitors a peek into their past or future, along with other spooky fun. Historical ties with Halloween abound.
Food concessions will be available each night, from food trucks.

Elgin Christmas Tree Farm Fall Festival

Williamson Museum will be giving tweens and their adult companions ghost tours around downtown Georgetown. We’ll meet at the library in the Children’s Room at 5 pm for our tour and have tasty treats when we get back. Event is free and open to tweens ages 9-12. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Austin High Monster Concert

The cornerstone of this event is a concert featuring orchestras from Vertical Team elementary and middle schools as well as the various orchestras at Austin High School. Also performing this year are orchestras from Crockett High School. In addition to concert performances in the AHS Performing Arts Center (PAC), the Monster Concert features a carnival with a variety of games and delicious food. During the weeks leading up to the Monster Concert, students and parents from the AHS orchestras build an incredible and very popular haunted house. All proceeds from the Monster Concert and Carnival support the Orchestra program at Austin High School.

The King’s Carnival allows kids of all ages to play games, participate in arts and crafts, hop on inflatables, and enjoy a petting zoo and pony rides (requires tickets purchased at event). The Cobblestone Market provides the opportunity to shop with a variety of Arts and Craft vendors and other area merchants. The Pig’s Pub provides an opportunity to eat your fill on food & drink of all kinds. The Royal Academy is home to fearless demonstrations of Jousting, Archery, Fencing and other Kingdom sports. This free, family-friendly Halloween event returns for the seventh year, presented by White Ghost Shivers and Creative Action! All are encouraged to dress up to have a great time, grooving to spooky tunes, making art, playing pretend, and hanging with family! 5th Annual Straw Fest

Straw Fest is a free fall festival hosted by the UMLAUF every year on the final Sunday in October. Coolers are totally allowed, beer alas is not. Bring a shirt and get it printed on site! Parking is available at the Hyde Park Christian Church about 1/8 of a mile east of us on 45th street. There’s also the Fresh Plus parking lot at 43rd & Ave G. Please be kind to our residential neighbors. Better yet, BIKE OR BUS! There are SEVEN Capitol Metro bus lines that stop within a 1/4 mile of here! Opa! FREE!!
Spooktober Fall Fest

The Friends of Austin State Supported Living Center invites you to attend the 6th annual Spooktober 5k & Fall Festival. This family-friendly event includes a timed 5k run/walk through the beautiful 97 acres of rolling hills of our West Austin Campus, a Kids K and a Fall Festival. Enjoy a great music, food trucks, face painting, moonwalk, petting zoo, games, and activities, vendor marketplace and more.
The Spooktober 5k and Fall Festival will kick off at 9 am with the 5k run/walk, followed by the Kids K at 10:30. The Fall Festival will run from 9 am until 1 pm. Proceeds from the event will directly fund the Friends mission to improve the quality of life for over 180 residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live at the Austin State Supported Living Center.
