Nestled in the heart of the Bouldin Creek community is a pack of the most adorable peacocks who call Mattie’s at Green Pastures home. And that pack got even cuter this summer with the addition of these little peachicks.
Wild peafowl have lived on the property since the 1960s when they were most likely gifted to the original proprietors. As of 2018, according to this Garden and Gun article, there were 18 peacocks and peahens living on property.
Whether that number is accurate today, we’re unsure. But we do know there are three new additions who, alongside their mama, proudly posed for an evening photo shoot.
Mattie’s at Green Pastures is located at 811 West Live Oak Street in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood in South Austin.
