Austin Under 40 Highlights Hard-Working Austinites with Award Nominations

Some big names have made it into a variety of categories as Austin Under 40 has announced the nominees for their 18th Annual Austin Under 40 Awards, a way of showcasing the most influential of Austin’s young professionals.

A total of 15 categories converge into a comprehensive list that represents the diversity of professional industries in Austin, with nominees recognized for both their professional and community contributions and achievements, according to CultureMap Austin. The winners will be announced on April 16 at the Austin Under 40 Awards Gala at the JW Marriott, an event that the Young Women’s Alliance and Young Men’s Business League have partnered to put on since 1998.

CultureMap Austin mentions that

All proceeds benefit YMBL’s Austin Sunshine Camps, which send thousands of low income, high potential children to summer camp with a focus on STEM, life skills, and outdoor education, as well as the YWA Foundation, which provides academic scholarships to young women in Central Texas.

Just a small sampling of the nominees include: Chelle Neff, Urban Betty Salon, C.K. Chin, Wu Chow, Ghislaine “Qi Dada” Jean, Riders Against the Storm, Allison Jaffe, Allison Jaffe Interior Design, and Ashley Spence Clauer, Wanderlust Yoga Austin.
