Consuela, one of Austin’s premiere fashion and lifestyle brands, is celebrating their 10 year anniversary this weekend with a three day celebration and sales event that you do not want to miss.
In 2005, after 16 years of working in the corporate world, Conni Reed decided that she had had enough. While vacationing in Mexico, Conni found herself with a vision of something more and was inspired to make a change. One year later Consuela, a full fledged lifestyle brand that offers a spirited collection of both quality fashion and home accessories, was born. As both owner and Creative Director, Conni creates new and original designs all from their flagship store located in the heart of downtown Austin. Conni and her designs truly stand out, fusing intense colors, eccentric patterns, rich textures, and exquisite craftsmanship, all meant to bring out one’s boldness of spirit and authenticity.
According to a press release, Conni and her Consuela team live by what they call “The Four Pillars.” A mantra, if you will, that they follow down to a T: Look good, Laugh easy, Lift the world, and Live in color. These are concepts that Conni hopes will inspire people to tear down boundaries and celebrate what it is that makes them unique.
Throughout the years Conni has made it a priority to incorporate charity into the heart of Consuela’s operations, and this mega-sale event is no different. Not only will it be an opportunity for fashion lovers to purchase quality merchandise at incredibly low prices, the event will also benefit three local non-profits including Dress for Success Austin, the Mexic-Arte Museum, and the Kindness Campaign. The sale begins Friday, July 29th with a VIP pre-sale and continues (free and open to the public) Saturday and Sunday afternoon, boasting an array of live music, street art, refreshing cocktails, delicious bites, and much more!
Consuela’s 10 year anniversary event will be held at Austin’s newest event venue, 800 Congress. Friday VIP pre-sale tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door or in advance here.
