If you are interested in exploring the many different learning environments around town, the Austin Alternative School Fair is for you! With schools and enrichment programs ranging from pre-K to high school offering tons of hands-on activities for your kids to enjoy, it’s a great way to spend a Saturday together as a family. And it’s FREE!
The annual Austin Alternative School Fair will be held this Saturday, February 20 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., on the Whole Foods Market rooftop plaza, located at Lamar & 6th. This family-friendly event will feature engaging activities for kids of all ages, family-friendly entertainment, and endless fun on the rooftop playground!
Free Fun in Austin is proud to once again join Alt Ed Austin and Whole Foods Market in sponsoring this free event, which is organized by the Education Transformation Alliance. Make plans to head downtown on Saturday to visit with educators from 21 innovative schools, enrichment programs, and educational services, while your children play, craft, explore, and enjoy a storytime performance by Happy Face Productions.
Lizzie Samples of Happy Face will delight children with a dramatic reading of the children’s book Where the Wild Things Are. Don’t miss this free show at noon!
