From their album Restless Nights, orchestral inspired Austin band American Dreamer has released a new song titled “Open Your Eyes.” This beautiful track is drenched in brightness, a perfect fit for the moment when you are ready to take on the day. There have been a few orchestral inspired acts in Austin over the years (now defunct group Mundi comes to mind), though after listening to American Dreamer we wish there were more. Pairing quiet pop with strings that carry the track, “Open Your Eyes” should make many year-end lists from local publications, regardless of genre. With a sing along chorus with emotive strings playing in the background, we can’t think of a song more beautiful to listen to this week, as well as being a fantastic addition to your music playlists.
