An exciting lineup of events are coming to Waterloo Park starting this June. From the annual Pride Month celebration, to a series of community-centered conversations, weekly children’s STEM programs, and outdoor movies, there’s something for everyone happening this summer!

PRIDE IN THE PARK
Free Outdoor Workouts | Various Dates and Times
Join for these free outdoor workouts that amplify, support, and empower the LGBTQIA+
community.
- Monday, June 5 | 6 p.m. – Strength and Solidarity Flow Class
- Tuesday, June 6 | 6 p.m. – Workout With Erica Nix and Rocky Time!
- Wednesday, June 7 | 7 p.m. – Out Dancing with GoDance
Tales On The Trail: Intersectionality Of LGBT & Black Identities | Thursday, June 8 at 6 p.m.
This discussion will center Black & LGBTQIA+ voices on topics about race, queer identities, and
the intersection of both, as conversations around justice and equality grow worldwide.
PRIDE IS FOR FAMILIES | Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Families can explore a variety of hands-on art and cultural learning activities including drag
queen storytime, ‘Taste the Colors of the Rainbow’ with Mom & Pops All Natural Frozen Pops,
Pride Family Portraits, and a Pride Parade in Waterloo Park.

Waterloo Greenway is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive public space for all ages. Attendees are

THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER
Tales On The Trail: Protecting & Restoring Austin Waterways | Sunday, July 9 at 9 a.m.
Join Forklift choreographers and Austin’s Watershed Protection Department to discuss the
importance of protecting and restoring Austin waterways, including the major impacts of pet
waste disposal.
WILD WEDNESDAYS | Wednesdays, July 12 through August 2, 2023 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Science, nature, and STEM programs designed to connect kids (ages 5-14) to the natural world
through hands-on nature exploration and learning through problem-solving, outdoor play, and
journal exercises.
- July 12 – Exploring Your Wild Backyard
- July 19 – Our Blue World
- July 26 – Curious Critters
- August 2 – Astronomy: A Special Starry Night Workshop (special hours = 7 to 10 p.m.)
FRIDAY FLICKS | Various Dates and Times
Enjoy beloved movies at Waterloo Park, with audience contests, live music, and family-friendly
activities. Screenings begin at sunset.
Best in Show (2000) – Friday, July 14 at 6 p.m.
Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog: It’s a back-to-school bash and hot dog cookout! The
bash includes featured bites, a photo booth, school supply drive, and live music.
DC League Of Super-Pets (2022) – Friday, August 18 at 6 p.m.
Calling all good girls and good boys: Join us for a pawty in the park! The pawty includes
ice cream and pupcup vendors, doggie costume contest, photo booth, local pet vendors
and a special performance of Forklift Dance Works’s Dances for Dogs and People Who
Walk Them!
