5 Free Things To Do In Las Vegas

Stop by the Bellagio for two of the most dramatic artistic displays on the strip. Outside of the hotel you’ll find the iconic Bellagio Fountains, water dances in sync with music and lights, creating a mesmerizing display. Inside, head to the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden. Each season, the enormously talented Horticulture and Engineering teams transform the 14,000-square-foot Botanical Garden into a showcase of inspiring sights, sounds, scents and colors. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter are all featured—along with a special display for Lunar New Year.

Travel down the strip to Fremont Street. The immersive experience offers a dazzling LED canopy, street performers, and live music. From there, wander around the the Downtown Arts District, a hub for creativity that hosts galleries, studios, and public art installations. This area is known for its murals, which cover building facades with bold, colorful expressions of local and international artists.

Beyond the Arts District, Las Vegas is home to several other significant artistic landmarks like Seven Magic Mountains. The large-scale desert installation by artist Ugo Rondinone features towering stacks of brightly colored boulders that contrast starkly with the surrounding environment, creating a visually striking and contemplative experience. You do need a car for this one, but it’s worth the trip. Read more about the art installation here.

The official Stranger Things store is a fantastic way to have some free fun. The attention to details is fantastic, with a number of themed rooms featuring different aspects of the series. You can pose for pictures on Joyce’s couch, ride a bike into Hawkins, Indiana and scream in terror with the demogorgon and Vecna. There are also free arcade games in the Mad Max arcade. The free experience is located on Las Vegas Boulevard near MGM.

Here are a few other free things to do in Las Vegas:
