This past weekend on both Saturday and Sunday, four Austin-area businesses were robbed at gunpoint by an unidentified woman who appears to be in her teens or early 20’s, is of Hispanic descent, 5’2 with a thin build, and long dark hair with red highlights.

On the morning of September 17th, the suspect walked into a Walgreens Pharmacy at 9307 North Lamar. At 7:19 a.m., she pulled out a gun at the register, demanded money from the store’s employees and walked away with an unknown amount of money. That evening at 5:55 p.m., the same woman walked into La Unica Michoacana ice ream shop at 946 Payton Gin Road in North Austin, drew her gun and demanded money. When an employee refused, the suspect grabbed a tip jar and fled.

The woman then robbed another Walgreens for a third time at 12250 Metric Blvd in North Austin at 10:11 p.m. During this incident, the suspect once again demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The next day on September 18th, the woman committed her final robbery at 2:54 p.m. at a Walgreens located at 1509 West Wells Branch Parkway in Pflugerville with a male accomplice. After demanding money and showing her weapon, she left the store with the male suspect and the stolen money.

The Austin Police Department describes the male suspect as being in his late teens or early 20’s, with a thin build, and a goatee, who is also of Hispanic descent. His height is 5’7. The Austin Police Robbery Unit is encouraging anyone with information about any of these crimes to call the police department tip line 512-974-5092 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS.
