The Blanton Museum of Art 2014 Summer Family Programs kick off today! From art making, to storytime and beyond, the Blanton invites you to visit this summer for an array of family programs aimed to engage and inspire. 


All of The Blanton’s Summer Family Programs are free with admission to the Museum, and remember, admission for kids age 12 and under is always free. Plus, the Museum is free for everyone on Thursdays. 

Summer Family Programs 2014: 
Wednesday, June 11 2014 – Friday, August 8, 2014

WorkLab

Wednesdays and Fridays | 10am – 12:30pm
Dell Classroom, Smith Building
All Ages

Visitors of all ages are invited to drop in to this open studio to experiment with enticing materials and explore your their own creativity process.

Storytime Tours

Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays | 10:30am
Rapoport Atrium, Michener Building
Recommended for kids age 3-7 and their adult companions

These 30-minute thematic tours encourage young art lovers to look carefully and make connections between art, story, and life.

Space is limited. Tickets available at the Visitor Service Desk.

Deeper Dives
Begins Wednesday, June 25 through August 8

Wednesdays and Fridays | 1 – 2:30pm
Rapoport Atrium, Michener Building
Recommended for families with kids age 8-13

Visit the exhibition In the Company of Cats and Dogs, which explores the relationships between people, cats, and dogs. Deeper Dives are 90-minute experiences combine close looking, conversation, and the making of related art projects.

Space is limited to 15 participants. Tickets available at the Visitor Services Desk.
