The Violet Crown Trail is an exciting project that will add more than 30 miles of trails beginning in Zilker Park and winding through the city all the way into Hays County. A joint project of the Hill Country Conservancy and the City of Austin, the completed trail project will connect parks, pools, libraries, schools, and shopping areas and will provide Austin area families with new trails for hiking and biking.
The first 6 mile segment of the trail has opened to the public and the trailhead is located in south Austin near 290 and Brodie Lane.
