Magia Negra is a dreampop band from Austin that appeared recently on Austin Town Hall’s Slack Capital 2 compilation, featuring 27 Austin acts which will raise money for Safe Place, a local organization that supports victims of domestic and sexual violence.
While the compilation features a variety of different sounds and tones, “Human” by Magia Negra is a ballad that shouldn’t be skipped over. Featuring calming guitar licks and woozy, floaty vocals from the group’s frontwoman Lolita Lynne, this track is one of the most calming ballads we’ve heard in a long time.
