Cedar Park and Pflugerville area children are invited to see a story come to life with a guest appearance by Curious George!
Educationally focused child care providers Kiddie Academy of Cedar Park and Kiddie Academy of Pflugerville will each host Storytime LIVE! on Saturday, July 30, 2016, where Curious George jumps off the page and visits the classroom in person. Attendees will enjoy a story highlighted by a visit from the story’s lead character, Curious George, as well as light refreshments and educational activities for children and families.
“Our Storytime LIVE! events are open to everyone – our current students, new friends who would like to learn more about us, or anyone who would simply like to share a special experience with their child,” said Supriya Sumanth, owner of Kiddie Academy of Cedar Park. “Reading together helps prepare children for school and for life by introducing new ideas and building essential speech, communication and literacy skills,” added Eric Ng, owner of Kiddie Academy of Pflugerville.
The events are free and begin at 11:00 a.m. at both Kiddie Academy of Cedar Park (1602 Medical Parkway; Cedar Park, TX 78613) and Kiddie Academy of Pflugerville (2617 Kelly Lane; Pflugerville, TX 78660). The lead character from the story, Curious George, will make an appearance at the event, so Sumanth and Ng remind parents to bring their cameras to capture their child’s smiles. In addition to a special appearance by Curious George, Cedar Park will be celebrating its first anniversary with other special attractions.
