Eva Mueller, a veteran of the Austin music biz, has a new single called “Late July” which released earlier this year under the performance name Hot Cotton. Don’t make the mistake of missing it.
“Late July” is an indie track that shows off Mueller’s vocal range, and her experience singing German and Italian opera during her college years comes through. But instead of going classical, here she’s spinning something decidedly modern.
While Mueller’s music has changed just about as much as Austin has over the years, this track still very much sounds like an Austin artist venting about life’s frustrations in the midsummer heat. That’s definitely something music fans in this town will enjoy.
