Austin’s own vegan ice cream parlor is making big moves; Sweet Ritual, Austin’s artisanal vegan ice cream purveyor, is leaving their cozy home at the Duval Juiceland location for brand new digs all their own on Airport Blvd. Sure, this means that you may not be able to get your smoothie and your milkshake fix all at the same time, but it means some really great things for this “creamy” concessionary that is love by both vegans and non-vegans, alike.
“We’ll be able to have more production space and a bigger freezer to make lots more ice cream, and we can start experimenting with even crazier flavors and more options. We can start producing things like gluten-free vegan ice cream cakes and vegan ice cream cookbooks. And we’re moving into the bustling BLVD district! Airport is becoming the coolest strip in town and we’ll be right in the middle of it – with, oh, so much parking,” co-owner Valerie Ward told the Austin Chronicle for their feature about Sweet Ritual’s move.
Of course, running a small business in Austin is tough, so fans of the treats are asked to help with the moving process through their Kickstarter campaign. Sweet Ritual will be hosting an open house in their new space at 4631 Airport Blvd, suite 125 on Wednesday from 5-9pm and Thursday from 3-8pm. And next time you go, be sure to get the glitter sprinkles on your treat-nothing makes you feel more like a kid again than snacking on glitter.
