Veterans Day is happening on Thursday, November 11, 2021. This public holiday is held annually on the anniversary of the end of World War I to honor US veterans. Each year, many local restaurants and businesses thank members of the military, both past and present, by offering free food or special deals for Veterans Day in Austin.
Important note: All of these deals have been verified, but we strongly recommend calling ahead to confirm the details. Most promotions are “at participating locations” and we don’t want anyone to be disappointed! Unless otherwise noted, these deals are happening on Veterans Day, November 11.
Here’s Who is Offering Free Food for Veterans:
Applebee’s – Veterans can receive a FREE meal from a limited menu. Beverage and gratuity not included.
BJ’s Restaurant – Veterans can receive a FREE meal from a select menu and a Dr. Pepper.
California Pizza Kitchen – California Pizza Kitchen is offering a FREE entrée and beverage to veterans and active duty military members.
Chili’s – All veterans and active duty servicemen and women can get a FREE meal. Beverage not included. Must show proof of military service.
Cici’s Pizza – Cici’s is offering a FREE adult buffet to all veterans and active-duty military personnel. Must show a valid military I.D.
Denny’s – From 5 a.m. to noon, Denny’s would like to say thank you to all American veterans. Enjoy a FREE Build Your Own Grand Slam Breakfast with a valid Military ID.
Dunkin’ – FREE Donut of choice for all veterans and active military.
Great Clips – FREE haircut for veterans and active military members.
Hooters – FREE meal from the Hooters Veterans Day menu (dine-in only) for all veterans who present a military ID or proof of service and purchase a beverage.
Joe’s Crab Shack – FREE meal for veterans and active duty military.
Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille – From 4 to 10 p.m. vets can claim a FREE Famous Pork Chop when accompanied by a guest purchasing one dinner entrée.
Red Lobster – Active duty and veterans can get a FREE appetizer or dessert from a limited menu (dine-in only).
Starbucks – As a thank you to active duty service members, veterans and military spouses, receive a tall (12 fl oz) hot brewed coffee for FREE.
Torchy’s Tacos – Torchy’s invites all veterans and active U.S. military to enjoy a meal on them this November 11, with a complimentary taco and beverage.
Twin Peaks – All military men and women (past and present) can enjoy a FREE menu item from the Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Menu. Military ID required.
Yard House – Veterans and active military will receive a complimentary appetizer on November 11.
