The Goodwater Trail snakes around Lake Georgetown and almost completely encircles it. With several trailheads to choose from this hike provides ample opportunities for short day hikes or even a multi-day circumnavigation. We’ll be hiking 5 miles out and back from Cedar Breaks to Crockett Falls. **We’ll hike at a brisk pace.**
The trailhead is located inside the Cedar Breaks Park and close to the entry. If you park inside the park, you need to pay $5 fee via app (you can scan the QR code at the gate). There is lots of parking right outside the gate that is always free. You can park out there and walk to the trailhead.
Please bring plenty of water. Also, consider bringing some snacks. We’ll take a break at the Fall if it’s accessible (sometimes the water level is too high to get to the Fall).
No pets please.
We’ll meet at the trailhead which is near the entry point. After entering the park, look for a parking lot on the left.
