Heather Jarry: Remembering Wilma Rudolph

From the Carver Library:
“A site-specific progressive installation at the Carver Library. Puppeteer and Illustrator Heather Jarry will be creating a different scene daily with her hand carved wooden puppets and watercolor paintings throughout the month of July within a glass case at the entrance of the Carver Library to tell the story of Wilma Rudolph, an American sprinter who overcame childhood polio and went on to become a world-record-holding Olympic champion and international sports icon in track and field following her successes in the 1956 and 1960 Olympic Games.
