FREE Improv Hour: Jump Into Joyful Play!

16 November @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Come play with two experienced improv teachers in a fun, loosey-goosey, supportive environment! We’ll be playing improv games with no goal other than to have a few laughs.  If you learn some life-changing communication lessons along the way, that’s cool too.

Bring friends and family!!  It’s best if you have your own screens though.  Wear comfortable clothing, and we suggest pants…because you never know when you’ll be inspired to jump up and no one wants to see you dressed like Winnie the Pooh.

Tom Booker is a Writer, Director, and Teacher/Creativity coach who has taught improv, writing, and acting for over thirty years. His experience and the lessons learned from decades of teaching to help individuals (like SNL Stars Bill Hader and Noel Wells) pursue their dreams and to show groups and teams (like Apple, Dell, and Red Bull) to work together in a productive and fun way!  Tom was the Owner/Artistic Director of The Institution Theater in Austin and one of the founders of The Annoyance Theatre in Chicago.

Jo Chauvin has been teaching theatrical and applied improv for 10 years.  She also had a harrowing year as the theatre teacher at a middle school.  She has produced and directed sold-out shows (as well as not sold-out shows), performed, house managed, and was Director of an improv program for kids on the autism spectrum.  She leads workshops for organizations around team building, communication, and storytelling using applied improv and utilizing Adult Learning Theory.
