Hosted annually by The Salvation Army Austin, Day of Giving is an opportunity to invite the Central Texas community to learn more about and support The Salvation Army’s programs serving families with children experiencing homelessness in our community. The Salvation Army will partner with local TV and radio stations to spread the word and share stories of hope. A phone bank will be held so donors can call in to make a gift. There will also be options to give online at DayofGivingAustin.org
The goal for this year’s event is to raise $1,000,000 to provide shelter, warm meals, and the critical resources needed to help families experiencing homelessness regain self-sufficiency.
