This Austin Hotel Beat The Odds and Made More Money Than Any Other Texas Hotel

We can’t speak for other cities but hotels in Austin aren’t just hotels- they are experiences. And this one is quite the experience! While the pandemic has been really hard on the entire hospitality industry, one new Austin hotel managed not just to stay afloat but thrive. According to Source Strategies, the hospitality industry’s most innovative and effective analysts, Austin’s The Commodore Perry Estate made more money than any other hotel in Texas!

Last year, we were invited to a sneak peak at The Commodore Petty Estate before the hotel opened. We knew off the bat that this place would be a hit with the Austin community.

The hotel is actually an architectural landmark, sitting on 10 pristine acres just north of the UT campus. Originally built at the height of the Jazz Age in 1928 as the country home of Edgar and Lutie Perry, the property is now home to this gorgeous in town resort like hotel.

The mansion includes a craft cocktail bar and a solarium providing informal dining experiences, as well as a dining room, breakfast nook, living room, and library. The highlight of each room is one-of-a-kind detail and decor. The property also features: a new three-story inn, 50-foot oval swimming pool, fitness center, organic kitchen garden, Lutie’s Ice Cream Bike, Lutie’s Garden Restaurant, and a chapel, perfect for intimate weddings and social happenings.

We’re not surprised this hotel thrived during the pandemic because taking a trip to this locale is like stepping into another world! And who didn’t want to escape to another world in 2020?
