Well, at least her food truck is…
Austin is no stranger to great food trucks, but sometimes it’s nice to have the food truck scene shaken up a bit. And what better way to do that than with a truck themed around a 40+ year old Japanese kitty character? That’s right, Sanrio’s Hello Kitty truck will be in Austin on December 3 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
You can find the adorable pink truck at Barton Creek Square, parked right outside Men’s Warehouse, as it makes its way through the country to promote the new Hello Kitty brick and mortar café in Southern California. Folks in Houston and Dallas have already gotten a chance to taste the kitty-themed treats.
So what can you expect when visiting the food truck? Well, long lines for sure. As this is a “while supplies last” type situation, you might as well grab your Hello Kitty sleeping bag and camping chair and plan to get in line before the sun rises.
If you manage to make it to the front of the line, Eater Austin reports that you’ll find “adorable baked goods in the form of Hello Kitty macarons featuring the cat figure and water bottles in the shape of her signature bow. Additional swag includes mugs, shirts, and headbands.”
Good luck getting your hands on these cuties! Be sure to tag us in your inevitable Instagram photos: @austindotcom.
