A visit to Amy’s Ice Creams is on the Austin Summer Fun Checklist for Kids, as an activity for August. The event below sounds like a good opportunity to test out some of the flavors, so that you have your favorite picked by the time August rolls around.
It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s flying ice cream!
Amy’s Ice Creams is celebrating the summer with their 10th Annual Trick Olympics!
On Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., at the Amy’s Ice Creams in the Grove at Southpark Meadows, the ice cream and the crush’ns will fly through the air as the most talented professional ice cream slingers will be competitively tossing in events such as Best Solo Trick, Best Team Trick and Trick Decathalon.
Although a few precious ice creams may splatter to the ground from spilled Mouth Catches or Around the World Juggles, it all goes to a good cause! Enjoy some authentic Austin fun with the help of local DJ Big Face, and help toss proceeds to CASA of Travis County.
Here is the inside scoop on what to bring in order to maximize your experience at the event:
- A comfy chair or blanket
- A camera to capture the action
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses, a hat, or any additional protection from the sun
- Cash if you wish to purchase raffle tickets (100% of the proceeds will benefit CASA of Travis County)
- Appetite for great ice cream
