Texas Youth Music Festival

The Texas Youth Music Festival is excited to announce an open call for talented middle school and high school garage bands and solo performers to compete in this vibrant and dynamic music competition. The festival will take place from October 11-13, 2024, at the Hill Country Galleria Plaza, located at 12700 Hill Country Blvd, Austin, Texas 78738.

Sponsored by the Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts, the Bee Cave Arts Foundation, and the Musicians Woodshed, this festival offers a unique platform for young musicians to showcase their skills and gain exposure.

Highlights of the Festival:

• Grand Prize: A coveted Orb Recording Studio session to produce your own EP.
• Additional Prizes: Awards for 2nd and 3rd place winners.
• Event Schedule:
  • Friday, Oct 11: Kick-off with a Meet and Greet with judges and a World Drum Circle.
  • Saturday, Oct 12: Competition featuring performances limited to 10 minutes each, with judges providing feedback after each performance. The evening will culminate in extended sets from the winners.
  • Sunday, Oct 13: Enjoy Music Clinics, Open Jam Sessions, and a Pizza Party at the Musicians Woodshed.
