Slaughter Creek is in South Austin and is a loop trail. The terrain is flat, and we will walk about 3.3 miles and the hike will take approximately 1.5 hours. Dogs are not allowed on this trail, and I rate it as easy since it is flat. For more information on the trail click [here](http://www.texashiking.com/Locations/ShowLocation.aspx?LocationID=8504).
Please don’t come unprepared. Bring 2 liters or more of water, wear sunscreen, and a brimmed hat since this trail has no shade. Also, proper footwear is essential, so please wear shoes or hiking boots. The parking is not very good, so please arrive early to get a parking spot. If you enter the GPS coordinates, this will take you to the trailhead. I recommend using the GPS coordinates since they are more accurate than the address.
