Living in Austin probably means that you’ve come to appreciate the heck out of having Alamo Drafthouse and its many locations around. Drink booze while you watch a movie? Check. Nibble on appetizers and dinner you didn’t have to make while watching upcoming movie trailers? Check. Bring your baby to a screening because you need a break in the middle of the day? Check. One other awesome thing about this homegrown business? It never forgets to make sure its customers are appreciated. That’s why it’s bringing back Alamo Teacher Appreciation Week during spring break this year. For every matinee movie shown at all Austin locations (and some of their other cities, as well) from March 18 through 22, teachers just have to show their work ID at the box office to get a free ticket (except for special events).

This offers extends to preschool, elementary, high school, and college teachers, as well as homeschool teachers — just bring some proof of your teacher status, and they’ve got you covered. Unfortunately, as much as you’d probably like to spend at least part of your spring break sitting in a dark, air conditioned room not being spoken to, the offer is limited to one free ticket per day.
