2016 Pumpkin Patches In Austin And Beyond

It’s pumpkin time again! The grocery stores have some great options, but why not start a new family tradition and take the kids out to a pumpkin patch this fall? You’ll find some amazing photo opportunities and make some fond memories! Here’s a list of pumpkin patches in Austin and beyond for 2016.

Red Barn Garden Center

Pumpkins are now available! A special fall festival is planned for Saturday, October 15 from 10 a.m. PumpkinFest 2016 will be FREE and will feature a bounce house and petting zoo.

Bethany United Methodist Church
October 3-31 |   10010 Anderson Mill Road, Austin
Pumpkin Patch is open through the first week of November. You will find pumpkins of all sizes, a large variety of fall decorations, mini pumpkins and pie pumpkins! Hours are: Monday-Friday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. and 3-7 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Also open from 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. on October 10.

Austin Oaks Church
October 10-31  |   4220 Monterrey Oaks Blvd., Austin
The Austin Oaks Pumpkin Patch will be open to the entire Austin community from October 10 – 31. Come take photographs and pick out the perfect pumpkin for your family! All proceeds go to Redeemed Ministries, an organization that advocates against human trafficking and works to care for survivors. Pumpkin Patch Hours: Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 5:30-8 p.m.; Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday from 10:30-11 a.m. and 12:15-1:30 p.m. For more information, call 512-891-1600.

St. John’s United Methodist Church
October 11-31  |   2140 Allandale Rd, Austin
Open October 11 – 31, 2016 until the pumpkins sell out. Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30-7 p.m.; Sunday, 12-7 p.m.

United Christian Church
October 13-31 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.  |   3500 W Parmer Ln, Austin
UCC will be hosting a pumpkin patch daily from October 13th to the 31st. They will have photo props and a decorating station for the kids daily, and there will be a story time at 11:30 a.m. every Saturday for 15-20 minutes. Check it out between Mopac and Parmer Lane!

Shoreline Church
October 14-31  |   Shoreline Drive at 15201 Burnet Rd, Austin
The Pumpkin Patch will be open Monday – Friday from 2-7 p.m.;  Saturday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.;  Sunday from 1-7 p.m. The church is located at 15201 Burnet Rd, but the pumpkins are found on the Shoreline Drive side of the parking lot. Trunk or Treat will be on October 31 from 6-9 p.m.

Bethany Lutheran Church
October 14-18  |   3701 W. Slaughter Ln, Austin
At this annual Pumpkin Patch you can find more than 2000 pumpkins of various sizes for sale. The pumpkin patch will open on October 14 (providing the pumpkins arrive on time – check website or call to confirm!) and sell through October 31 (or until they run out of pumpkins). Hours: Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. There will be a fall festival on Oct 30 from 3-6 p.m. Children can come and collect candy at decorated cars, decorate cupcakes, play carnival games, participate in a costume parade, hear stories, and more. Fee for doing the activities is $5. Please call or check website to confirm times.

SoCo Pumpkin Patch
October 15-31  |   Christ Lutheran Church, 212 E Monroe St, Austin
The church’s Pumpkin Patch will be open October 15 at noon and runs through the 31st. Hours: Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Sunday, 12-7 p.m. There will be plenty of photo opportunities.

Pumpkin Patches in Greater Austin

Buda United Methodist Church
Daily through October 30  |   767 Main Street, Buda
Hours are 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily. More pumpkins will be arriving on October 8!

Manchaca United Methodist Church
Daily  |   1011 FM 1626 at Manchaca Rd, Manchaca
Hours are Monday – Friday from 2-7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from Noon – 7:30 p.m. Don’t miss Movies in the Patch on October 14 and the MUMC Fall Festival will be held on October 22 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Bring your family, friends and neighbors for a day of fun! The FREE festival will include family fun, a hay ride, children’s games, a moon jump, food, a cakewalk, crafts, prizes, clowns, music and more!

St. Richard’s Episcopal Church
October 1-31  |   1420 E. Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock
Hours of operation are Sunday through Friday from noon – 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. St. Richard’s annual pumpkin patch allows the church to give back to the community both globally and locally.  The pumpkins sold here change lives! Don’t miss The Great Pumpkin Festival at Dell Diamond on Sunday, October 30!

Cross Plants and Produce
October 1-31 (Closed Mondays)  |   701 N. Old Highway 81, Kyle
Cross Plants and Produce is an everyday farmer’s market and plant nursery in Kyle, TX. There is a large kid’s play area with picnic tables, a mini horse and mini donkey, a farm dog and bunny rabbit. Pumpkin Patch will be open on weekdays (except Mondays), with free activities on weekends. Pumpkin Patch will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

First United Methodist Church of Georgetown

Check out the Pumpkin Patch at First United Methodist Church Pflugerville! They have a great selection of pumpkins of all sizes. They also have a charming photo area that is perfect for taking family photos! Weekdays from 4:30-7 p.m. Weekends 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

The Robinson Family Farm (Temple)

Open Saturdays and Sundays, September 17 through October 30. Hours are 10 a.m – 6 p.m. The pumpkin patch offers various games and activities for those of all ages which include: hay rides, duck races, kiddie train, corn maze, hay maze, bounce houses, and much more! Individual and/or family photo mini sessions are available to capture your memories to last a lifetime with many photo sites to explore. Admission is $10 per person.

The Jersey Barnyard (LaGrange)

Head about an hour southeast of Austin to visit this working dairy farm in LaGrange. The Jersey Barnyard has had a pumpkin patch for the past 17 years. Free photo-ops! Tours of the farm are available, starting at $3 per person. Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday from 1-6 p.m.

Sweet Berry Farm (Marble Falls)

Harvest of Fall Fun runs September 24 – November 6, 2016. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; 1–5 p.m. on Sunday. Closed all Wednesdays. Admission is FREE and parking is FREE. The pumpkins and gourds are individually priced. Each activity has a fee. Activities include Scarecrow Island Hayrides, Candy Corn Hay Maze, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, face painting, horse rides, sand art, The Sweet Berry Express Barrel Train, The Berry Bounce, and The ‘Texas’ Maze. Barton Hill Farms (Bastrop)

Open weekends from September 24 – November 13. Saturdays, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sundays, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Admission is $14 for ages 3 and up. Kids 2 and under are FREE. You can save $1 if you purchase tickets online. Barton Hill Farms boasts a 5-acre corn maze, frontier games, a pumpkin patch and more. Check their Facebook page for updates.

Texas Big Worm Pumpkin Patch (Bertram)
Weekends through October 30  |   4625 E. State Highway 29, Bertram
Fridays and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. FREE admission! Look for the Giant Chair and all the Pumpkins! Pumpkin patch and fun activities (for a fee) for all ages, including a pumpkin sling, corn fishing, hay rides, pumpkin painting, and a petting zoo. Two fun events will be happening every Friday this season. Storytime in the Patch: Fridays 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Come out and hear great fall themed books read among the pumpkins. Storytime will be followed by a free fall themed craft ideal for ages 10 and under. Music in the Patch: Fridays 5-7 p.m. Live music by great area bands. Check out more information here.

Evergreen Farms (Elgin)

Visit for the Pumpkin Hunt, weekends in October for a special day with the Down Home Ranch Friends at Evergreen Farms. Hours: Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sundays, from 1-5 p.m. Admission is FREE, but some activities cost $2.50 to $5. FREE activities include wagon rides around the farm and a petting zoo. Activities that cost $2.50 per ticket include a train ride, a maze, and face painting.

Elgin Christmas Tree Farm (Elgin)
October 4 – 31  |   120 Nature’s Way off Roy Davis Road, Elgin
Starting October 4, the farm will be selling pumpkins. Hours are Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Friday- Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and Sunday from 12-5:30 p.m. The Pumpkin Festival will take place October 15, 16, 22, & 23 for $7 admission for kids (age 2 and up) and $9 for adults.  Hours are Saturday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Sunday 12-5:30 p.m. Sign up for the newsletter and get a coupon for one FREE child admission! Activities are included in the price of admission.  There will be hayrides, mazes, kiddie train rides (weekends only), a playground, visiting with farm animals and more.
