2015 Schedule of Free Shows at Zilker Hillside

Is there anything finer than spreading a blanket out on the Zilker Hillside lawn and enjoying an evening of music, theatre, or dance under the stars? Plan to pack a picnic and head to Zilker Park for one – or several – of the many cultural events coming up in 2015. They’re all free!

• Planet Music SAMBA featuring Austin Samba – Saturday, March 28, from 6-9 p.m. (Rain Date: Friday, April 3)
• Texas Bengali Cultural Alliance South Asian New Year – Saturday, April 11, from 12-9 p.m. (Rain Date: Sunday, April 12)
• Austin Shakespeare The Taming of the Shrew – April 30 – May 24, Thursday-Sunday performances at sundown
• Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble Ballet Under the Stars – Friday and Saturday, May 29-30 at 8 p.m. (Rain Date: Sunday, May 31)
• Austin Symphonic Band Father’s Day Concert – Sunday, June 21, from 7:30-9 p.m.
• Zilker Theatre Productions Hairspray! – July 9 – August 16, Thursday-Sunday performances at approximately 8:30 p.m.
• Austin Symphonic Band Fall Concert – Sunday, September 27, from 7-8:30 p.m.
