Zilker Theatre Productions has announced that the 2015 Zilker Summer Musical will be Hairspray, based on the film by John Waters.
Hairspray will open on July 10, 2015 and run through August 15, 2015, Thursday – Sunday evenings, starting at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Hairspray is a high-energy musical comedy phenomenon that will have the whole Hillside on their feet. Set in 1962 Baltimore, this musical is chock full of dazzling, toe-tapping production numbers, soulful rhythm and blues, and a diverse and exciting cast of characters.
Zilker Summer Musical 2014
Zilker Summer Musical productions are free and open to the public. Performances are held at Zilker Hillside Theater in Zilker Park, across the parking lot from Barton Springs Pool. Be sure to bring $5 to park in Zilker Park.
