When it Comes to Alcohol, New to Austin Service GoBooze Really Delivers

Another new delivery service is stepping up to the plate to keep Austinites cozy in their homes — just in time for the holidays and this frigid weather (ha!). This Tuesday marks the launch of GoBooze, an on-demand alcohol delivery service.

The startup is a subsidiary of Philadelphia-based GoPuff, an on-demand convenience store delivery service. GoPuff is already operating in Austin, so if you’re looking to have more than booze delivered, they’ve got you covered. Both GoPuff and GoBooze differ from their competitors because they get their stock from their own warehouses that are located in each of their operating markets. They keep their own stock of inventory on hand, which means that they can save money (and pass those savings on) by not relying on local retailers.

That’s all well and good, but let’s just skip right to the important info so you can get that bottle of wine in your hand as quickly and easily as possible.

The service currently delivers beer and wine in Austin, with plans to soon expand to spirits and a selection of local and craft brews in the next few months. Their hours of operation run from 12 p.m. until midnight (with expanded service running until 1 a.m. on Sundays).

To order, just download the GoPuff mobile app in iOS or Android or visit their website. Once you enter your zip code, you’ll be able to see if GoBooze is available in your area — it will be the first option of GoPuff’s multiple categories. There you’ll be able to easily choose from their list of products which include Austin favorites like Lone Star, Real Ale, Shiner, and, uh, Four Loko.

The cost is just a $1.95 flat delivery charge (plus cost of product, of course), that is waived for orders over $49. They’re also currently running a promotion that includes a free shot glass with orders, while supplies last.
