Why Is Austin City Limits The Best Music Festival Anywhere? Uh, Austin!

Like many Austinites and (we’re betting) even more visitors, Red Bull is gearing up for two weekends of music in the heart of Austin. When Austin City Limits Festival is almost here, there’s a kind of electric energy around our fair city. We can’t help but love this sort of thing — and that’s what makes ACL Fest the best of its kind anywhere in the world.

We know this, as locals. You may know this, if you’re coming to visit. And the people at Red Bull TV DEFINITELY know this, and that is abundantly clear in this short documentary about the city.

The video profiles some of those wonderfully #SoAustin attractions as The Cathedral of Junk, the Texas Roller Girls, and plenty more. There’s even a visit from former Longhorn Kasey Studdard who talks about crawfish boils and chicken shit bingo, and plenty of great representatives of Austin’s varied arts scene.

Of course, the music is what brings everyone to town during Austin City Limits Festival. Naturally, Red Bull’s doc also goes in-depth with hip-hop group Magna Carda, performing during Weekend 2 of ACL 2016. The video also includes a few quick shots of local trio Keeper, also playing Weekend 2.

Check it out above.
