  1. Music on the Square (Georgetown)
    Friday, June 29 | from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Georgetown Square, Georgetown
    Grab a blanket or a chair and enjoy enjoy a free concert on The Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas every Friday night from June through August, EXCEPT FOR June 1, July 6, and August 3. As long as the weather permits, the music kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with the last song fading out at 8:30 p.m. Free!
  2. Ice Cream Lyman’s TV Drive-In Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood
    Friday, June 29 | from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. | Museum of Human Achievement, Springdale and Lyons
    It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, so let’s have a drive-in! Roll up in your car or on your bike or on your own two feet, grab a spot in the parking lot, turn on your radio, and off you go. There will be pop-ups and fun family activities (like puppet-making!) ahead of the show hosted by great local artists, educators, community members, and vendors. we’ll have snacks and candy and whatever we can round up. Doors open at 7:30, fun and games for young and old at 8, a collection of Mr. Roger’s episodes air at 9 p.m. FREE! (or $5 at ticket link to reserve a prime-time car spot!)
  3. Ant Man Free Outdoor Screening
    Friday, June 29 | from 8 to 11 p.m. | The Community Cinema at Community First! Village, 9301 Hog Eye Rd.
    Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a FREE movie night at Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screeningGet there early to explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks. Hot dogs, milkshakes, popcorn, candy and drinks will be available for purchase (cash preferred). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.
  4. Friday Night Flix
    Friday, June 29 | at 8 p.m. | Lone Star Court, 10901 Domain Dr.
    Friday Night Flix returns on June 29 with the classic Peter Pan tale, Hook! The movie will begin at 8pm, sharp. Arrive early and enjoy a classic burger with fries and a soft drink for just $5 in the Water Trough Bar! Happy Hour prices until 11 p.m. in the Water Trough Bar. Live music in the Water Trough following the movie.
  5. Keep Austin Playing 2018
    Saturday, June 30 | from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd.
    Keep Austin Playing is a free, citywide, interactive play date for kids! Highlights: Rock climbing walls, inflatable slides, obstacle course, human foosball, face painting and more.
  6. Fairy Tale Sing-A-Long
    Saturday, June 30 | from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. | APL – University Hills Branch, 4721 Loyola Ln.
    Join for a Fairy-Tale Sing–A–Long and prepare for the ultimate celebration of magic, music, and dreams that do come true! There will be singing, crafts, a photo booth and refreshments. Costumes are encouraged and all ages are welcome.
  7. East Communities YMCA: Summer Block Pool Party
    Saturday, June 30 | from 6 to 8 p.m. | East Communities YMCA, 5315 Ed Bluestein Blvd.
    The YMCA is opening their doors, inviting the neighbors, and heating up the grill for two fun, after-hours community pool parties this summer at their interactive splash pool! Go swimming, play in the sprays and water falls, and take some rides down our two large water slides. They’ll also provide some free snacks for you to enjoy too! These events are FREE and open to all. You don’t have to be a YMCA member to join in on the fun.
  8. H-E-B Free First Sunday: Stars & Stripes
    Sunday, July 1 | from 12 to 5 p.m. | Bullock Texas State History Museum, 1800 Congress Ave.
    Kick off your 4th of July celebration at the Bullock! Bring the whole family and enjoy patriotic fun with art, music, and more. Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Families can explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibitions that showcase artifacts from around the state. Special family programs from 12 to 3 p.m. combine art creation, exploration stations, and gallery activities. H-E-B Free First Sundays are presented by H-E-B.
  9. School of Rock On Tour: International Edition
    Sunday, July 1 | from 1 to 7 p.m. | The North Door, 502 Brushy St.
    Be there for this all day show. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Show kicks off at 1 p.m.  Free entry, all ages! Featuring sets from: School of Rock Austin TX, Eden Prairie, MN, Memphis, TN, Macarthur Australia, Perth Australia, and Winnipeg, Canada.
  10. Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park
    Sunday, July 1 | from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Long Center, 701 W. Riverside Dr.
    These free ensemble concerts take place at the Hartman Concert Park in front of the Long Center City Terrace, and each Sunday a different ensemble of the ASO will be featured. A variety of music will be performed, from jazz and light classical to pops selections and film scores. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and blanket and make it a group outing.

  • Birding 101 Class (Lockhart)
    Saturday, June 30 | from 10 to 11:30 a.m. | Lockhart State Park, 2012 State Park Rd., Lockhart
    Spot and identify the feathered friends that call Lockhart State Park “home” in this fun class! Join us to practice bird ID and binocular skills, and take a bird walk to see how many birds we can find in the park. Binoculars and ID guides are provided, or you can bring your own. All ages welcome! Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.  Wear weather-appropriate clothes and sturdy shoes. No registration required. Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult and free for children 12 & under).
