  1. Duality and Dokdo, Lone Island: Exhibit Opening Reception
    Friday, July 13 | from 6 to 8 p.m. | Asian American Resource Center, 8401 Cameron Rd.
    The Asian American Resource Center is proud to host an exhibit  reception featuring works from artists Dan Pham, Lauren Chai, and Matthew Koshmrl. Refreshments and light snacks will be served. Free and open to the public.
  2. Star Wars The Last Jedi Free Outdoor Screening
    Friday, July 13 | from 8 to 11 p.m. | The Community Cinema at Community First! Village, 9301 Hog Eye Rd.
    Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a FREE movie night at Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screeningGet there early to explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks. Hot dogs, milkshakes, popcorn, candy and drinks will be available for purchase (cash preferred). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.
  3. Music on the Square: Lexxi Garza (Georgetown)

    Grab a blanket or a chair and enjoy enjoy a free concert on The Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas every Friday night from June through August, EXCEPT FOR June 1, July 6, and August 3. As long as the weather permits, the music kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with the last song fading out at 8:30 p.m. Free!
  4. 60th Anniversary Zilker Summer Musical: All Shook Up
    Friday – Sunday, July 13-15 | from 8:15 to 10:45 p.m. | Zilker Park Hillside Theater, 2100 Barton Springs Rd.
    This summer, ZTP journeys back to the 1950’s — the era of the first Zilker Summer Musical — with the Elvis-inspired All Shook Up! And it wouldn’t be a true Elvis-style party without some blue suede shoes. All Shook Up, set in 1950’s Middle America, is a new twist on on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. The ZTP Team can’t wait to share this toe-tapping, hip-shaking musical comedy – featuring 24 Elvis hits – as well as lots of laughs, love songs and leather jackets. Free admission.
  5. Curious George Storytime Live (Round Rock)
    Saturday, July 14 | at 10 a.m. | Kiddie Academy of Round Rock, 5080 N. AW Grimes Blvd.
    Join on Saturday, July 14 at 10 a.m. for Storytime LIVE! where Curious George and Pinkalicious jump off the page and visit the classroom in person! Share a story with two beloved characters. This event is FREE and open to everyone — bring a friend or two.
  6. Family Saturday – Fanta-Sea Creature
    Saturday, July 14 | from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria, 3809 W. 35th
    Sculpt the wildest underwater beast you can imagine, then spend some time drawing on clear canvases next to the lagoon–and alongside our own mythical sea siren by Wangechi Mutu. What mysterious creatures will you fish from the depths of the sea?!
  7. Amazon’s Treasure Truck Free Outdoor Screening
    Saturday, July 14 | at 6 p.m. | Republic Square, 422 Guadalupe St.
    Movie fans will enjoy an evening of free entertainment under the stars, complete with films, popcorn, giveaways, activities and entertainment for all ages, available on a first-come, first- served basis. Fox Searchlight’s Isle of Dogs screens on Saturday, July 14. Gates open at 6 p.m., with activities and entertainment for all ages. Movies are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., light permitting.
  8. FIFA World Cup Final Watch Party
    Sunday, July 15 | from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Circuit of the Americas, 9201 Circuit of the America’s Blvd.
    The FIFA World Cup Final is Sunday and Austin has an exclusive invitation from Coca-Cola to view and celebrate the largest sporting event in the world.  This will be the biggest FIFA World Cup Final Watch Party in Texas, and it will be held at the 1,500 acre Circuit of the Americas (COTA), just outside downtown. Attendees will enjoy a fun-filled day of tailgate games, live DJ, food, beverages, prizes, guest appearances and multiple screens broadcasting the game, all kicking off at 8 a.m. In addition, Coca-Cola will host a day of pick-up soccer matches and an exclusive Q&A with a special guest. All of this will take place on COTA’s Grand Plaza lawn, nestled in between Turn 15 & Turn 19 of the world-class 3.4 mile raceway.
  9. Radio Coffee & Flea
    Sunday, July 15 | from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Radio Coffee, 4204 Manchaca Rd.
    Join for the Third Sunday series of The Austin Flea at the fabulous Radio, Coffee & Beer. The Flea features all local handmade items and vintage wares from some of Austin’s most amazing and talented vendors. Find one-of-a-kind gifts for any occasion including jewelry, bath/body products, vintage, original artwork, paper goods, textiles and so much more! Entrance to the event is free and open to all ages!
  10. Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park
    Sunday, July 15 | from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Long Center, 701 W. Riverside Dr.
    These free ensemble concerts take place at the Hartman Concert Park in front of the Long Center City Terrace, and each Sunday a different ensemble of the ASO will be featured. A variety of music will be performed, from jazz and light classical to pops selections and film scores. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and blanket and make it a group outing.

  • The Battle of Plum Creek (Lockhart)
    Friday, July 13 | from 8 to 9 p.m. | Lockhart State Park, 2012 State Park Rd., Lockhart
    Join to hear this exciting (and true) “Cowboys vs. Indians” tale! The Great Comanche Raid and Battle of Plum Creek changed the course of history for Texans in the 1840’s, and this exciting piece of history happened right here in Lockhart! Join us to hear the whole story from the man who literally wrote a book about it, Donaly Brice. All ages welcome. No registration required. Program will be held inside the park Recreation Hall. Please arrive a few minutes early to give yourself time to check into the park and drive up to our Rec Hall. Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult, free for children 12 & under).
  • Art Squared Arts Market  (San Marcos)
    Saturday, July 14 | from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Downtown Square San Marcos, 150 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos
    The Art Squared Arts Market is a juried fine arts and fine crafts event that happens every second Saturday, from March through December, in San Marcos, Texas.  This open air art market features all handmade, original artwork shown by the artists themselves.  In addition to all the great art there is live music, free yoga/tai-chi, free kid’s arts and crafts, featured non-profit organizations, and a farmer’s market adjacent to the art market.
