Another wonderful Austin weekend is here and there are so many great things to do in and around town! Here are the top 10 FREE Austin events happening this weekend.
- Movie Matinee: Dora and the Lost City of Gold

Coffee and Books! Brentwood Social House and Virginia Schnobrich, an independent consultant with Usborne Books & More, have partnered to have a themed craft and storytime. Enjoy your morning cup of joe while your little ones enjoy fun, interactive stories featuring lots of rhythm and rhyme that will get them moving and shaking. This event is FREE for all participants!
- Slavic Mardi Gras “Maslenitsa”
Saturday, February 29 | All Day| Moontower Saloon, 10212 Manchaca Road
This unique outdoor festival brings the Slavic community together in a celebration rich in heritage, traditions, food, music, dance, and accomplishments through their cuisines, custom beers, music, and displays. Slavic Mardi Gras “Maslenitsa” the only one Annual Slavic Heritage Festival in Austin! Don’t miss out! All ages welcome.

- Echoes and Spaces, New Paintings by Shawn Camp and Lana Waldrep-Appl

In Echoes and Spaces, Lana Waldrep-Appl and Shawn Camp explore the feelings of the sublime that happen in those moments when you allow yourself to completely reside inside of the space you are in. These paintings feel like daydreaming, an activity that takes place primarily when one is doing nothing. Both artists are interested in exploring the something-ness of nothing. Enjoy the FREE exhibition.
- The Austin Flea at Central Machine Works

The Flea features all local handmade items and vintage wares from some of Austin’s most amazing and talented vendors.
