Another fantastic weekend is here, and there are so many great things to do in and around Austin. Here are the top 10 FREE Austin events happening this weekend.

This week’s Weekend Top 10 is brought to you by HappiCampr. Thanks to them, Austin families have a chance to learn more about summer camps in an event that is fun and entertaining and makes for a great family outing. HappiCampr, a subsidiary of HappiFamli, is hosting their Fifth Annual Austin Summer Camp Fair this Sunday, February 24. The FREE event, held at Norris Conference Center, will allow guests to interact with camp hosts and try out some of the activities from each individual camp. More than 50 summer camps will be set up to meet one-on-one with prospective campers ages 4-18 and their parents/guardians.To celebrate this awesome event, we are giving away a free week of summer camp (valued at $345) from HappiCampr and KidsActing Studio!   1. Ant Man and the Wasp Free Outdoor Screening
    Friday, February 22  | from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. | Community Cinema & Amphitheater, 9301 Hog Eye Rd.
    Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a free movie night at our Community First! Village.
    Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screening. Explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards and cash accepted!). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.
  2. Princess Power Art Show
    Friday, February 22  | from 7 to 10 p.m. | Guzu Gallery. 5000 N Lamar Blvd.
    Guzu is proud to announce their second art show of 2019…and this time they are passing the crown and scepter to some of the most bad ass ladies from realms near and far, far away. Royalty from all corners of the pop culture universe are assembling and will soon grace the walls at Guzu Gallery! Over twenty talented artists will pay tribute to a diverse selection of princess characters, via limited edition prints and original artwork. The opening reception will be on Friday, February 22nd from 7 to 10pm and the artwork will remain up through March 24th. All artwork will be available for purchase. As always, admission is free and all ages are welcome!
  3. STEAM Festival at Harmony Science Academy (Pflugerville)
    Saturday, February 23 | from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. | Harmony Science Academy, 1421 Wells Branch Pkwy., Pflugerville
    The Harmony Science Academy – STEAM Festival will take place on Saturday. Harmony students will lead hands-on STEM activities and art students will display their work in an art exhibition. This event marks the campus’ 10th year in the community and they are celebrating STEAM style.
  4. Austin Cave Festival
    Saturday, February 23 | from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, 4801 La Crosse Ave.
    This free, family-friendly event will feature hands-on activities, cave tours, live music, and more. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a cave and see how water makes its way to the aquifer and Barton Springs, learn about animals that call Austin’s caves home, try on caving gear, and learn how to protect and conserve Austin’s water resources.
  5. Hollywood Dreams? Study Film, Animation, Games or Music
    Saturday, February 23 | from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. | North Village Branch Library, 2505 Steck Ave.
    Open to all high school students and parents: Attend this college planning workshop to hear from an actual college admissions expert! Dale Price, MBA is the Founder of Access College America (www.AccessCollegeAmerica.Org), a national provider for college planning solutions. Families with high school kids that have interests in film, animation/vx, games, music & entertainment business are encouraged to attend! Discover college majors for the creative at heart and understand the mindset to make it on Sunset Blvd. Hear candid stories shared from ACA’s Founder while working with celebrities for nearly 10 years.
  6. Star Party (Lockhart)
    Saturday, February 23 | from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. | Lockhart State Park, 2012 State Park Rd., Lockhart
    Join a park ranger for a look at the night sky! Peer through a telescope at the stars, planets, and galaxies that mark our winter sky! Drop in anytime between 7:30 pm and 9:30 p.m., weather permitting (at least 60 percent of the sky must be free of clouds). If desired, bring a flashlight and blanket or chair. Meet on the No. 1 fairway of our golf course. Drive across the bridge, park along the road, and walk up onto the golf course — look for our red lights. Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult, free for children 12 & under).
  7. Sunday Morning Math Circle
    Sunday, February 24 | from 12 to 2 p.m. | 5.104 Robert Lee Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway
    The Sunday Morning Math Circle will be in room 5.104 of Robert Lee Moore Hall on the campus of UT on Sunday. The event is absolutely free and will feature a talk by Rok Gregoric, a PhD student at the University of Texas, who will give a talk on how to visualize the fourth dimension (and beyond!) This event is targeted for 6th-12th graders and requires no mathematical prerequisites to be enjoyed!
  8. HappiCampr’s Summer Camp Fair
    Sunday, February 24 | from 1 to 4 p.m. | Norris Conference Center, 2525 W. Anderson Ln.
    Head to the Norris Conference Center on Sunday, February 24 from 1-4 p.m. and check out over 50 great summer camp options. Learn about and sign up for all kinds of summer programs all over the Austin area and beyond. They’ll have a variety of camps from art to sports, science to horses, sleep-away to day camps, and so much more. There is something for every kid, ages 4-18.   9. Texas AllStar Cheer & Dance NCA Showcase 2019 ($5/ Hutto)

    It’s the 1st NCA Showcase! Texas AllStar Cheer & Dance is hosting this event for their athletes and they want to extend this invitation to family and friends. Watch all their teams perform with a special performance at the end! Tickets are $5 for aged 13 and up, $2 for ages 4-12. A portion of the admission profits will be donated to one of our 2019 graduating seniors. Noisemakers, signs, photos and video recording are welcome! Doors will open at 12:30 p.m.
  10. The Public, Featuring Emilio Estevez
    Sunday, February 24 | from 3 to 5:30 p.m. | Austin Central Library Special Event Center, 710 W. Cesar Chavez
    Join Austin Public Library for a special movie screening of The Public followed by a community conversation featuring Emilio Estevez, the award-winning actor who wrote, produced and directed this new film about homelessness. Screening at 3 p.m. at Austin Central Library’s Special Event Center followed by a community conversation and panel with Emilio Estevez moderated by KVUE’s Quita Culpepper.
