Another wonderful Austin weekend is here and there are so many great things to do in and around town! Here are the top 10 FREE Austin events happening this weekend.


The Weekend Top 10 is brought to you by Table Church. If you’re looking for community, you are invited to check out Table Church! Though members come from various backgrounds, they have found common ground in asking difficult questions, trusting in God with open hearts, and growing in faith as a result. Their worship service blends the beauty of the old with the life of the new, creating a deep, life giving worship experience. And they have kids services for ages birth –through 5th grade.   1. Valentine’s: Give Brakes Not Break Ups

  2. I Love You So Much Portraits And Special Peter Rabbit Drink at Jo’s Coffee
    Friday, February 14| From 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.| Jo’s Coffee, 1300 South Congress Avenue
    Stop by the famous I Love You So Much wall on Valentine’s Day for a free portrait with Peter Rabbit and grab a Cottontail Hot Chocolate at Jo’s Coffee. You can also catch Peter Rabbit at three other popular Austin murals that day from 3 to 5 p.m. – Greetings From Austin (1720 South 1st Street), ATX Sign (525 North Lamar Boulevard), and You’re My Butter Half (2000 East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard).
  3. Central Texas Teen And Kids Comic Con
    Saturday, February 15| From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.| Round Rock High School, 201 Deep Wood Drive
    This FREE event is a graphic novel and comic convention aimed at offering teens, kids, and educators the chance to interact with popular authors and illustrators, participate in workshops, and showcase their creativity. They have a fantastic line-up of authors and workshop presenters this year. Students will also have the opportunity to enter the art and cosplay contest. Get your FREE tickets at EventBrite.
  4. Hearts of the East Side
    Saturday, February 15| From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.| East Cesar Chavez District, 1102 East Cesar Chavez
    This weekend is the unveiling of the Hearts of the East Side. Eleven creative heart-shaped installations will be installed across the District, and residents and visitors alike will have the opportunity to mingle with artists, go on guided walking tours, and enjoy discounts at participating businesses.
  5. Banger’s Padri Gras 2020: Brats, Beers, and Beads
    Saturday, February 15| Starting At 11 a.m.| Banger’s Sausage House and Beer Garden, 79 Rainey Street
    Once a year Banger’s likes to let their beads down and celebrate all things Mardi Gras! They’ll have food (including breakfast) and drink specials, in addition to live music. It’s FREE, open to the public, family friendly and a darn good time.
  6. Austin Chinese Culture Festival
    Saturday, February 15| From 12 to 7 p.m.| Westwood High School, 12400 Mellow Meadow
    The local non-profit organization Austin Chinese – American Network (ACAN) is hosting its second annual Austin Chinese Cultural Festival (ACCF 2020). There will be lion dance as well as many other traditional dances, martial arts and calligraphy demonstrations. The event is FREE and there will be lots of traditional food and beverages available for purchase.
  7. “Furrever Yours”Adoption Event
    Saturday, February 15| From 1 to 5 p.m.| b8ta Austin Domain Northside, 11701 Domain Boulevard
    The Austin Humane Society will have adorable dogs and cats on site awaiting their forever homes! b8ta will also offer light bites and refreshments, including cranberry mimosas. Throughout the afternoon, b8ta will conduct product demos and give away swag. To enter the giveaway, simply sign up for b8ta’s monthly newsletter in-store. A donation to Austin Humane Society or adoption of a furry friend will result in an extra entry.
  8. Wild In Love (Lockhart)
    Saturday, February 15| From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.| Lockhart State Park, 2012 State Park Road, Lockhart

    Celebrate Valentine’s Day by playing their version of the Love and Marriage Game! Take along someone that you care about to test your knowledge of all things “them” (and maybe even learn something new). Don’t feel like playing? That’s cool – you can be a part of the studio audience. Afterwards, feel free to B.Y.O.P. (bring your own picnic) and watch the sunset from the scenic overlook. All ages welcome. Program is FREE with paid entry to the park. 
  9. Table Church Grand Opening Party

  10. HappiFamli Annual Summer Camp Fair
    Sunday, February 16 | From 1 to 4 p.m.| Norris Conference Center, 2525 West Anderson Lane
    It’s not too early to start planning your kids’ summer camp schedule, so take the whole family to HappiFamli’s Annual Summer Camp Fair! Learn about and sign up for all kinds of programs all over Austin and beyond. They will have art camps and sports camps, sleep-away camps, and day camps, and so much more.  There’s something for every kid, ages 4-18. FREE, fun hands-on activities, $10K in giveaways, and over 50 camps in attendance!
