Asian roots bloom locally in this dual exhibit opening showcasing the work of local artists R.C. Wong and Rakhee Jain Desai. Hear from the Wong Family about the prolific work of R.C. Wong. Enjoy a meet a greet with Rakhee Jain Desai and her approach to Batik in her work. Light refreshments provided. Free and open to the public. - Concert in the Park

Movies in the Park is a series of free films brought to you by Austin Parks Foundation. We’ll be visiting nine different parks this year, so head out to grab some food from our food trucks and enjoy a night under the stars and in front of the screen. Join Keep Austin Beautiful and 3,000 Austinites for the biggest annual city-wide day of service, Keep Austin Beautiful Day. Join the City of Austin for our annual Spring Event. Saturday April 13 they will host our Egg Hunt followed by Carnival games for all youth at Gus Garcia Recreation Center, Turner Roberts Recreation Center, Givens Recreation Center & Dittmar Recreation Center. Each attendee will receive 10 free tickets for carnival games, or pay $3 for unlimited fun. - Family Saturday – Food Art

Pillow fight day is an international phenomenon held in many major cities. This is a free event and families are welcomed. All pillows and proceeds will go towards the homeless. Step 1: Bring a pillow or camera. Step 2: Drop off extra unused pillow at drop off zone. Step 3: Pillow fight or spectate from the sidelines. Step 4: When finished leave pillow in a drop off zone for donation.

Our monthly Family Days are designed for families and friends to explore and create. On the second Sunday of each month we feature a line-up of activities for families to enjoy. The 4th annual community picnic will kick off a Celebrando 2019 heritage project that will culminate in a Salsa & Heritage Festival. Bring your beach chairs and maraca! Dance Bomba, Plena, Taino dances and more under the Pecan Trees with special guests — Joaquin Nieves, Director of Guateque Ballet Folklorico & Irvin Santiago, Cuatrista and Trovador from Morovis — and performances by Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance.
