For many years, there has been a policy in place stating Travis County employees cannot bring deadly weapons to the work place; with the exception of security officers, peace officers and corrections officers.
Now with the new open carry law in place — Judge Sarah Eckhardt says employees still cannot bring them in, but the people they serve can.
