Maybe you took the last month off from exercise. We’re not judging! But as the quarantine continues, it may be time to consider getting back into the habit of working that body. Plus, getting outside is a great way to shake off your stress and frustration.

Here are five totally Austin ways to work out during quarantine.

Travel Your Neighborhood On Foot

Even if you walk at a slow pace, it’s better than not walking at all. And you may discover something new about your hood. Take some time to smell the roses and perhaps you’ll gain a different perspective on the little part of town you call home.

Jog On the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail

As long as you are prepared and keep a safe distance, the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail is sill open. Please keep in mind that it’s one way and walkers, joggers, runners and cyclists are all asked to wear face masks.

Cycle Up and Down West Austin’s Hills

Cycling is big in Austin. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, you can find a good number of cyclists rolling up and down the hills of west Austin. If you join them, watch out for vehicles because the hills can obscure cyclists and drivers from one another.

Hike Through a Nature Area

Austin has acres and acres of natural area for you to enjoy. Two of the biggest natural areas are Barton Creek Greenbelt and McKinney Falls State Park. Get Your Dance On With Ballet Austin

A number of Austin fitness facilities are offering classes online, including Butler Center for Dance & Fitness and the Pilates Center who is hosting regular live classes with all your favorite instructors.
