It’s officially the last weekend in July, and if you haven’t had a chance yet to do all of the things on your summer bucket list, now is your chance! Whether you are hoping to explore local markets, or catch a live show, here are the top FREE things happening this weekend.

Knit and Crochet Group
Friday, July 29th | From 2 to 4 p.m. | Cedar Park Library, 550 Discovery Boulevard, Cedar Park

This knitting circle is open to knitters and crocheters, whether you’re just picking up yarn and needles for the first time or have been knitting for years. Bring your own projects to work on and to show the group. This crafting circle is open to everyone.

On The Deck: Summer Music at Mozart’s
Friday, July 29th | From 5 to 9 p.m. | Mozart’s Coffee, 3825 Lake Austin Boulevard

Head to Mozart’s outdoor patio all summer long for their Summer Music Series featuring acoustic performances by some of Austin’s most talented singers and instrumentalists.

Disney’s Newsies
Friday, July 29th | From 8 to 10:30 p.m. | Zilker Hillside Theater, 2206 William Barton Drive

See you on the hillside for the 2022 summer production Disney’s Newsies! This is FREE for everyone to enjoy.

2022 Back to School Healthy Kids Day
Saturday, July 30th | From 9 to 1 p.m. | YMCA Killeen, 110 Mountain Lion Road, Harker Heights

Healthy Kids Day is a FREE community event and the nation’s largest health day for children and families. The first 500 children to complete their Activity Bingo Card receive a free backpack and t-shirt. 30+ community resource booths on site to help families access services that keep their kiddos nourished, happy, and healthy. Inflatables, games, activities, music, carnival rides, face-painting, yummy food, and more!

Plant Clinic
Saturday, July 30th | From 10 to 1 p.m. | Wells Branch Library, 15001 Wells Port Drive

Enjoy this FREE plant clinic where they will discuss all your gardening needs including plant selections and timing for gardening tasks. They’ll also bring an educational activity focused on pollinators specifically for the young children. Mark your calendars now for a fun-filled and educational morning!

Read-Watch-Talk Movie Matinee – The Color Purple

Texas Farmers Market Mueller

Kids Chess Open Play
