  1. Astronomy on Tap  – Tuesday, November 17 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. November marks the 1 year anniversary of AoTATX as well as the 100th anniversary of the publication of Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity. Celebrate both of these momentous occasions with 3 space-time altering talks about general relativity. All ages welcome. FREE! The North Door, 501 Brushy St, Austin.
  2. UT Materials Lab Gallery Talk and Exhibition Opening – Wednesday, November 18 from 5-7:00 p.m. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the five installations that comprise Creek Show, a celebration of the renovation of Waller Creek. Prototypes, models, and process drawings from the participating teams – an all-star cast of local artists, designers and practitioners – will be on display in the Materials Lab. Third Thursday at The Blanton – Thursday, November 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. In addition to offering free admission, The Blanton is open late and offers a variety of activities from yoga to live music.   4. Tree Lighting & Santa’s Arrival (Bee Cave) – Thursday, November 19 from 6-8:00 p.m. The fun starts with a special performance by the Lake Travis High School Cavalettes & the Ruby Reds. Studio512’s Amanda Tatom will be on hand to welcome Santa to the stage and light the big holiday tree. Wave to Santa as he exits via the Sonesta Bee Cave Austin trolley – The Bee! Afterwards, a 5-minute firework show will take place followed by live music by the Plain White T’s.   5. Lakeside 2 Steppin – Friday, November 20 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Enjoy a night of 2 steppin’ in Peace Point Park on Lady Bird Lake. Dance the night away on the outdoor dance floor to wonderful live music by Ben Rodgers and a FREE two-step dance lesson from esteemed instructor, Campbell Miller. Hostelling International in Peace Point Park, 2200 South Lakeshore Blvd, Austin.
