- UT Materials Lab Gallery Talk and Exhibition Opening – Wednesday, November 18 from 5-7:00 p.m. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the five installations that comprise Creek Show, a celebration of the renovation of Waller Creek. Prototypes, models, and process drawings from the participating teams – an all-star cast of local artists, designers and practitioners – will be on display in the Materials Lab. Tree Lighting & Santa’s Arrival (Bee Cave) – Thursday, November 19 from 6-8:00 p.m. The fun starts with a special performance by the Lake Travis High School Cavalettes & the Ruby Reds. Studio512’s Amanda Tatom will be on hand to welcome Santa to the stage and light the big holiday tree. Wave to Santa as he exits via the Sonesta Bee Cave Austin trolley – The Bee! Afterwards, a 5-minute firework show will take place followed by live music by the Plain White T’s. Face painting and balloon twisters will be available for the kids. FREE!
