Splash Mob Fountain Fun Event (Round Rock) – Monday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Get soaked to celebrate the conclusion of the Round Rock Public Library’s Summer Reading Program. Bring your water guns, blasters, and your sense of adventure to this splash mob. All ages welcome. FREE! Prete Main Street Plaza, 221 E Main St, Round Rock.

Sound & Cinema: Labyrinth Quote-Along – Wednesday, August 10 at 8:00 p.m. Sound & Cinema 2016 features unique pairings of classic movies with a diverse array of local musical guests. Each band plays a musical tribute to the night’s movie, followed by a screening of the film on the Alamo’s giant inflatable outdoor screen – all against the backdrop of the Austin skyline. This week, watch Labyrinth with music by Sweet Spirit. Rated PG. Food trailers will open by 6:00 p.m. with food and beverages available for purchase. The sunset concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. The movie will immediately follow (around 9:00 p.m., or right after sunset). FREE! Long Center, 701 W Riverside Dr, Austin.

101x Summer Cinema Series: School of Rock – Wednesday, August 10 at 8:30 p.m. Arrive early at Central Market with your blankets, lawn chairs and appetites. Food specials in the café. Movie starts at dusk but you don’t want to lose your seat. Rated PG-13. Family friendly and FREE! Central Market, 4001 N Lamar Blvd, Austin.

Rhythm on Stage: Michael Jackson’s Beat It (RSVP) – Thursday, August 11 at 7:00 p.m. Back for its 5th year, Austin’s only instructional dance series invites you to take center stage. Learn how to dance on the Dell Hall Stage as the Long Center partners with Ballet Austin to bring you a FREE evening of dance. The event is come and go. Dance instruction begins at 7:30 p.m. No experience is necessary. All ages welcome. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.  The Long Center, 701 W Riverside Dr, Austin.

Unplugged at the Grove: Bob Schneider – Thursday, August 11 at 8:00 p.m. Join KGSR every Thursday for 24 consecutive weeks at the iconic Shady Grove for one of Austin’s longest running FREE concert series. All ages welcome. Shady Grove, 1624 Barton Springs Rd, Austin.
