Free Admission at the Umlauf – Tuesday, August 25 – Friday, August 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is the final week that admission fees will be waived this summer!  Read about the Umlauf scavenger hunt for kids here.   2. The Wine Down – Tuesday, August 25 from 5-7:00 p.m. Enjoy The Wine Down summer finale! The Bonneville will be on-site providing food samples. Music by Quiet Company with special guests Bee Caves will be emceed by KGSR. Check out pop-up shops and merchandise giveaways from retailers around the 2nd Street neighborhood.   3. 101X Summer Cinema: Empire Records – Wednesday, August 26 at 8:00 p.m. This is the final 101X Summer Cinema screening at Central Market North. Arrive early at Central Market with your blankets, lawn chairs and appetites. Food specials in the café. Movies start at dusk (around 8:30) but you don’t want to lose your seat. Rated PG-13. FREE! Highland Mall Memorabilia Sale – Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Austin Community College District (ACC) invites the community to collect a piece of Highland Mall memorabilia at this surplus sale. Remnants of Highland Mall available for purchase include store fixtures and mall strollers. Admission is FREE! ACC Highland (Previously Highland Mall), 6001 Airport Blvd, Austin.
  5. President Johnson’s Birthday Celebration – Thursday, August 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The LBJ Library will be offering FREE admission and cake to celebrate what would have been President Johnson’s 107th birthday. Additionally, cupcakes will be served on the West Mall of the UT campus beginning at 10 a.m. LBJ Presidential Library, 2313 Red River St, Austin.
