On the Trail with the Buffalo Soldiers
Friday, January 15 and Saturday, January 16 | From 1 to 6 p.m. | McKinney Falls State Park, 5808 McKinney Falls Parkway
Join the Buffalo Soldiers at McKinney Falls State Park for engaging stories and displays that highlight Texas history, and daily life of soldiers on the trail. Stop by to view artifacts and listen to tales of the early frontier for the whole family! Guided, socially distanced hikes will be offered for all skill levels. Happening at 1, 3, and 5 p.m. To join a hike, you must register here.

Join The Austin Flea for a masked and spread out shopping event as they kick off the year! The Austin Flea features all local handmade items and vintage wares from some of Austin’s most amazing and talented vendors.

FREE Family Days at Mexic-Arte Museum

Each week the Mexic-Arte Museum hosts Free Family Sundays. They invite everyone to join and explore the museum and get a free tour at 2:00pm or 3:00pm. Tours in Spanish are always available upon request.
A Live One Sunday Phundays at the Far Out Lounge

A Live One is BACK at the jewel of South Austin, Far Out Lounge, EVERY SUNDAY in January! Two big sets of Phish jams in a lovely outdoor setting alongside great food trucks and killer bar selection. If the weather is nice they’ll be on the main stage, if it’s chilly they will be on the stage in their massive heated tent. Food trucks will have weekly brunch specials, so come hungry!
