  1. Top 5 FREE Weekday Events AustinThe Wine Down – Tuesday, June 16 from 5-7:00 p.m. TRACE will be on-site providing food samples. Music by The Deer & Chipper Jones will be emceed by KGSR. Check out pop-up shops and merchandise giveaways from retailers around the 2nd Street neighborhood. The concert will be indoors at 5:15 p.m. FREE! ACL Live at The Moody Theater, 310 Willie Nelson Blvd, Austin. Postponed due to the weather.
  2. Amy’s Ice Creams Trick Olympics – Tuesday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. The summer’s biggest blockbuster isn’t at a movie theater. It’s at Amy’s Ice Cream’s Trick Olympics, back for its 11th year of high flying, in your face, crowd pleasing action. FREE! Amy’s Ice Creams at The Grove, 9600 IH 35 Frontage Rd, Austin. This event has been rescheduled for August 11 due to the weather.
  3. Lucas Miller, the Singing Zoologist (Cedar Park) – Thursday, June 18 at 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Lucas Miller, the Singing Zoologist, will perform fun songs all about the animal kingdom. FREE! Cedar Park Library, 550 Discovery Blvd, Cedar Park.
  4. KGSR and Family Eldercare’s Fan Fare Friday – Friday, June 19 from 7:00 a.m. to midnight. Stop by and drop off a fan or a donation to help kick-off Family Eldercare’s Summer Fan Drive. This “fan”tastic day is filled with family fun, live music, great food and helps generate critical support for the Fan Drive and Family Eldercare’s core services. There will be a Threadgill’s Pancake Pileup, crafts and entertainment for the kids, including live music from Big Don and Mr. Will (9:30-11:30 a.m.), a gaming station and more. Live music is planned all day, be sure to check the schedule for performance times. Pancakes are FREE with the donation of a new fan (or a $15 donation).   5. Gingerfest 2015 – Friday, June 19 from 5-9:00 p.m. Bird Barbershop marks the opening of its newest shop with a celebration of the redhead. Every ginger who attends – both young and old, natural or colored – will be given a coupon for a FREE Birds Barbershop haircut at the new shop, and be eligible to enter the “Best Redhead” competition for a chance to win great prizes. Sip complimentary Shiner Ruby Redbird beer and a special-edition GINGERFEST Agua Fresca from The Soup Peddler, while enjoying samples of Amy’s Ice Creams Ruby Red-inspired flavor. Entertainment will be provided by fellow gingers, including beats by DJ Bird Peterson, a workout demo by Erica Nix, opera by Claire Morris and a drag performance by Cupcake.
