This FREE Rain or Shine Earth Day Event Has Something for Everyone

Earth Day may not be recognized as an official federal holiday since it became a day to demonstrate support for environmental protection in 1970, but celebrating this holiday may be the most fun you can have without opening a ton of gifts.

Not only is Earth Day a great time for people to reconnect with the land and make a commitment to reducing their footprint on the planet, it’s also a fun way to bring more hands-on science learning to everyone (without having to be in a classroom). For adults, it’s also a great way to feel like a kid again and a great chance to help pass environmental stewardship to the next generation.

This Earth Day, Radha Madhav Dham Green Team and Shiksha School are bringing a giant celebration of the planet to central Texas. On Sunday, April 22, from 1 to 4 p.m., visitors can experience a giant list of events as diverse as the earth’s features, there’s a little bit of something for everyone to have a great time. And the very best part is it’s free!

Visitors will have fun with face painting, petting adorable animals at the Tiny Tails Petting Zoo, they’ll have a chance to learn about bees and reptiles, participate in a traveling hands on science show, and marvel at a giant ladybug release. And that’s just the tip of the melting iceberg, because there will be so much more at this rain or shine event!

There’s no need to buy tickets RSVP — just show up with some water in a reusable container, a reusable bag for the fun things you’ll be able to make and take home, and a positive, ready to change the world attitude!

Radha Madhav Dham can be found at 400 Barsana Rd., Austin, TX 78737.
