Friday, August 21st

Wade Bowen at The Belmont

While the small towns surrounding Austin have many things to offer such as great barbeque and swimming holes, it also has great music, and the town of New Braunfels has been hiding Wade Bowen, a lively country singer who sounds similar to Keith Urban. With catchy tracks such as “When I Woke Up Today”, Bowen will get the crowd hopping and the beer flowing as he helps his audience glide into the weekend effortlessly, as his songs will make you dance and bob your head until Bowen exits the stage.

Tickets: $20 (general admission) $22.50 (general admission advanced)

Little Mikey and the Soda Jerks at Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company

While Wade Bowen adds a more modern twist to country music, Little Mikey and the Soda Jerks take us back in time to the days of Johnny Cash when the music was much simpler and Austin was much smaller. Playing with a simplicity that moves us, the Soda Jerks directly hit their listeners with their music so well that we can’t get enough of it.

Aristocrats at Threadgills

For the jazz fans in town, we have something for you this weekend in the name of the Aristocrats, a jazz fusion rock band that will blow the doors off of Threadgills, one of Austin’s most well known restaurants. The bands’ amazing musical chemistry and ability is something that everyone will love experiencing, and from beginning to end the Aristocrats will be a group that you’ll recommend for a long time.

Tickets: $20

Mother Falcon at The North Door

Mother Falcon is a local act that has a unique edge to them. Scoring films and plays, the orchestral indie band sounds more like music you would hear from a movie soundtrack than something on the radio. Quickly making a name for themselves throughout town as a band not to miss, Mother Falcon who is releasing their new album Good Luck Have Fun, is a refreshing start to your weekend, so we encourage you to get down to the North Door this Friday to celebrate.

Tickets: $25

Florida Georgia Line at Austin 360

Georgia country duo Florida Georgia Line will be making an appearance this weekend at Austin 360 and the group certainly knows how to bring the heat to their live show by showing their audience how to have a great time, along with the bands enthusiasm and passion for music that radiates to their fans each night. With hits such as “Summer Daze” and “Dirt,” Florida Georgia Line will have you singing along and dancing to every word.

If you are a Dimebag enthusiast or simply a fan of heavy metal music, this is not an event to miss.

Ramsay Midwood at Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company

Ramsay Midwood, a psychedelic blues guitarist has a very relaxed way of playing his instrument, all while sounding incredibly soothing. As we head into the middle of the weekend and the last day away from the office, Midwood is an excellence choice for music listening this weekend.
