Here Are The Most Texas Things Happening At ATX Television Festival – Season 12

ATX Television Festival is back for season 12 and this year’s lineup is full of fan favorites. If you’re unfamiliar with ATX Television Festival, it was started by two locals 12 years ago right here in Austin. Held the first weekend of June, the festival brings together TV fans from all over to experience, talk, and interact with their favorite shows. Our favorite thing about the fest is that there are always some Texas ties. This year is no different!

Please note that to attend any of the following events you will need a badge or a ticket. You can find the details on ATX Television Festival’s official site.

The Amazon Freevee original Jury Duty has been gaining traction since its release mid-April. The creatives behind the docu-style comedy series will be in Austin to give us all the behind-the-scenes scoop on the series. The show stars newer Austinite James Marsden who plays himself – kind of. Marsden is no stranger to popping up unannounced at ATX Television Festival. Last year he made a surprise appearance at the West World panel! Perhaps we’ll get another surprise appearance.

The Women of The Good Doctor presented by Sony Pictures Television

Sunday, June 4 | From 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. | Driskill Maximilian
While the series The Good Doctor doesn’t have any Texas ties, this specific panel does! The moderator is none other than‘s Editor and‘s Chief Tea Spiller, Dani Dudek! With two decades in the TV industry and four Emmy Award under her belt, we can’t think of anyone more fit to moderate a TV festival panel! Speaking of brilliant women, the panel is made up of the women of The Good Doctor. Join them for a conversation about the series’ most impactful storylines, what it takes to work in front of and behind the camera. and what’s ahead!

There is also a Cheers reunion on the schedule but no confirmation that Woody Harrelson will be in attendance. We hear he’s been spending a lot of time in Central Texas. He even talked about moving here! Fingers crossed we’ll get another surprise appearance.

Programming is subject to change, especially due to the WGA writer’s strike. Keep an eye on the official ATX Television Festival website for any updates!
